80’s Alternative Legends Announce Month Long Tour
Stray Cats announced today a fall tour with over twenty dates in October and November. The tour kicks off in Michigan on October 25th and finishes up nearly a month later in Wheatland, California. The “Stray Cat Strut,” band led by Brian Setzer, guitarist and vocalist, will be touring for the first time in over a year. This is great new as Brian Setzer had been having issues with his hands recently.
In the press release by the Stray Cats, there were quotes from all three members.
BRIAN SETZER: “What blows me away every time is how this music still connects — decades later, it’s just as raw, just as real. We see fans from every generation now.”
LEE ROCKER: “There’s nothing like the sound we make when the three of us hit the stage–it’s high-octane rockabilly, loud and proud. We’re fired up to bring that to fans across the country again!”
SLIM JIM PHANTOM: “HOLY MACKEREL! The Cats are back for a very, special indoor tour. I’m thrilled and excited to be on the road in 2025 with the best Rockabilly band in the world! These are the venues where the Cats sound best and one thing I can guarantee 100%…We Will Rock Your Town!!”
Tickets go on sale Friday, August 1st and a pre-sale for fan-club members kicks off on Tuesday, July 29th. Sign up for the Stray Cats newsletter to get more information about the tour and pre-sale.

We recently wrote about Stray Cats in our best of the rest series about American New Wave and 80’s alternative bands. We had put Stray Cats (Brian Setzer, Slim Jim Phanton, and Lee Rocker) in our “Big Time” segment due to their top ten hits “Rock This Town” and “(She’s) Sexy + 17”.
